An Easy Mother’s Day Shopping Guide
Mother’s Day is just around the corner so I’ve lined up some great buys for you that will be sure to please any moms palate! And trust me, as a mom of 4, your mom wants wine!
The Bottega Rosé “Mom”osa
If you’re treating your mom to a Mother’s Day brunch, try this twist on a classic mimosa! For the “Mom”osa, you’ll need:
Bottega Prosecco D.O.C. Rosé
Grapefruit juice
Rosemary sprig
Pour the Prosecco first, and use a 1:1 ratio of Prosecco to grapefruit juice. Garnish with a sprig of rosemary.
Red Stone Dry Riesling 2021
This riesling comes from the south block of Limestone Vineyard, one of the best Riesling sites on the Twenty Mile Bench sub-appellation.
Incredibly summer fragrant aromas of grapefruit, lime, lilacs and cotton candy! Mineral driven, with slate notes and a chalky mouthfeel. The palate bursts with mandarin, lime, grapefruit, and the same ripe citric acidity. Beautifully structured and concludes with a notably long finish. Pure and refreshing!

Stratus Cabernet Franc 2022
This one is for the rosé lovers! Aromas of rhubarb, baked strawberry, wet stone and lilies. One the palate, delectable and concentrated notes of red fruit and minerality. There’s an umami factor present with earthy flavours that add depth and is balanced with a lifting, refreshing acidity. These layers all culminate on an extended finish. The perfect spring time sip!
Catena Malbec 2020
Catena was voted #1 World’s Most Admired Wine Brand of 2020 by Drinks International and for good reason! This Malbec exudes delicious aromas of purple plum, graphite, wet stone, purple licorice, chocolate, and grape jelly. The palate displays silky tannins with a soft, plush mouthfeel with flavours of sweet tobacco, dark cherry, dried fig, and coffee. A touch of black pepper and clove on the long finish. It’s a delicious bottle from Argentina that’s perfect for the red wine loving moms!
Moonlight Chardonnay Rocca delle Macie 2021
This Tuscan Chardonnay brings decorous aromas of anjou pear, buttered toast, and a hint of ginger on the nose. A warming, creamy palate with delicious orchard fruit, and almond biscotti nuances. Beautifully balanced acidity and a persistent finish. Amazing value!
