This Pinot Noir comes from The Golden Mile in Marlborough, New Zealand where the stony soils help ripen the grapes and keep them warm by reflecting the sunlight onto the vines.
The cool-climate Pinot Noir is medium-bodied with aromas and flavours of ripe strawberries, rhubarb, and hints of dried herbs. There’s a fine lining of soft tannins, and bright, juicy acidity alongside cranberry, beet, and cedar notes that chime in towards the finish in harmony. This bottle would pair nicely with mushroom risotto. 91 points
