Wakefield Clare Valley Limestone Coast Chardonnay 2024

A fresh Chardonnay that’s almost half and half of two regions, the Clare Valley and Limestone Coast. It spends 10 months in fairly neutral French oak to retain a fresh, round mouthfeel. Delicate aromas of starfruit, gala apple, and avocado with a hint of guava. A creamy palate with bright acidity and a edgy, nervy mouthfeel. Anjou pear and starfruit come in along with a minerality adding extra depth. Wonderful structure and balance. 92 points
