Henry of Pelham Old Vines Baco Noir 2023

A certified sustainable wine from estate vines that are at least 20 years of age, some being planted as early as 1984 in the Short Hills Bench sub-appellation. It sees 12 months in a combination of new and neutral American oak vessels. This Baco Noir begins by offering generous aromas of jelly, graphite, vanilla bean, red plum and white chocolate. On the palate, full bodied with electric acidity and just overflows with juicy blackberry and blueberry notes, maintaining a silky smooth lining of tannins. A touch of black pepper enters on a flavourful, long finish. 92 points
